Wildcat Weekend

This week Alabama travels to Lexington, KY (where KY jelly is made) to take on the Kentucky Wildcats. Rich Brooks has brought the Wildcats through tough times with NCAA probation to a "near-formidable" football status. The Kentucky defense ranks last in the SEC in rushing yards allowed. Look for Alabama to try and get a good push off the line and hand the ball to one of their many good running backs. Once every 10 or so downs, however, Greg McElroy will attempt a long reception down field.

Offensively, Rich Brooks is known for running the ball and throwing short passes every so often. This may be a huge problem against an extremely stingy Alabama defense. Bama will likely play a zone coverage, and let the defensive line and a linebacker or two attack QB Mike Hartline.

Folks have been looking for this to be a let-down game after the blowout of Arkansas last week. After the scare that the Wildcats gave Alabama last year in Tuscaloosa, Coach Saban should have his team prepared and ready to play. Let's not forget that Kentucky has upset several top-5 teams in Lexington over the past few years... cough, LSU, cough.
35-14 Bama
