Jevan Snead Strikes Back, at Ole Miss fans...
Instead of taking the Alabama loss in stride and trying to quietly improve, Rebel QB Jevan Snead has elected to contribute to The Sporting News Today. I know I probably wouldn't be pleased if an Alabama player did this after a loss, and I can't imagine Coach Saban allowing it.

Ridiculous and immature on his part. We'll tell him how badly he's playing all day if he continues to play badly. And we'll cheer him on and tell him how awesome he is if he's awesome. Because that's what fans do. And believe me--if he's tired of hearing how badly he's playing, I'm tired of saying it.
ReplyDeleteNot cool on Jevan's part. He's got some issues on and off the field and all I hope for is that the coaches make the right personnel decisions inn order to give our defense a chance to win the games.
ReplyDeleteBut, Carter wouldn't Coach God, I mean Saban, want you to focus on your next opponent and not on last week's? Seems a little like dogpiling...
Maybe I'm reading too much into your comment, Max, but are you calling for Snead to be benched?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am simpatico with Jevan. All the time people are suggesting that the quality of my legal work has declined since I started getting into bar fights.
ReplyDeleteI wanted him benched DURING the Alabama game! Now, understand Commissioner, that I am not advocating he be benched for the rest of the season. But sometimes you have to sit your best shooting guard or pull your best pitcher for the sake of the TEAM. I don't give a damn who is at QB as long as the Rebel offense performs at a higher level. But, pulling him could help him refocus and want to get back out there and prove himself. Although, if the fact he could make millions of dollars in the NFL isn't enough motivation for him to get out there and show what he's made of, he will most likely never live up to the expectations Ole Miss fans and the rest of the college football world.
ReplyDeleteYou shouldn't have asked, Drake! ;)
And Mrs. Power has been talking about your propensity to drink too much during the day and then get in fights with partners!
ReplyDeleteFar from dog piling, Max...
ReplyDeleteIt's not every day that a starting SEC quarterback comments through a magazine, and I thought it noteworthy. Also noteworthy because I don't think that some other SEC QB's (Jonathan Crompton) can use as many words as the 3 year old Drake McHugh Jr.
And I am already quite focused on the Ole Ball Coach.
:)
Does Snead's picture confirm the rumors of his taste for man meat?
ReplyDeleteSugar Lumps, that is a very tight jersey he's wearing. And the article suggests he's very articulate. Anyone know whether he's ever professed an affinity for the British version of The Office over the American version?
ReplyDeleteWell, Commissioner, info per Carter Slade says he (Snead) was spotted in a known gay bar...with a date!...hope Carter's info wasn't first hand knowledge, you'll have to ask him
